I'm New

We saved you a seat

Church can feel intimidating when it's new. It doesn't have to be. Here is everything you need for your first Sunday at Calvary.

What to expect

We can't wait to meet you.

We want everyone to feel at home here, whether you're a new visitor looking for Christian churches in Naperville, or a long-time member.

  • Wear what you want. Jeans, dresses, jerseys. You will fit right in.
  • Park and enter at Door 1. Greeters inside will point you anywhere you need to go.
  • You're welcome here. While you're here, come see us at the big red wall. Stop by the Welcome Booth after your first service with us. Our team is there to answer questions and point you in the right direction.
  • Come early, stay late. The Bistro serves brunch on Sunday mornings and the coffee shop is open before and after services.

Liturgical Service

Same gospel. Different expression.

Our liturgical service is a sacred time of worship centered on the Word of God, reflection, prayer, and communion, creating space to slow down, listen, and encounter God through a steady, intentional rhythm.

Families

Got kids?

First time here?

Here are some things you may want to know

How do I plan my first visit?

Just show up. Services run Sundays at 8, 9, and 11 a.m. Park, enter at Door 1, and greeters will walk you anywhere you need to go. Arrive about 15 minutes early if you are checking in kids.

What should I wear?

Wear what you want. We're a diverse community, and that includes how people dress. Come as you're comfortable. That's exactly how we want to see you.

What is worship like?

We love it when you clap, move, stand, and sing. Worship here is passionate, and you'll feel that from the moment it starts.

How long are your services?

Our two services at 9 and 11 a.m. are both about 75 minutes. Our liturgical service at 8 a.m. is about 50 to 60 minutes.

Where should I park?

If it's your first time, head to our main entrance, Door 1. Our greeters will be there to help you find wherever you need to go.

How does kids check-in work?

Secure check-in serves ages 6 weeks through 5th grade with trained, background-checked volunteers. Drop off before service and pick up right after with your matching tag. We do not offer childcare for our 8 a.m. liturgical service. We offer full childcare and a vibrant children's ministry during our Sunday services at 9 and 11 a.m.

Do you have food or coffee on campus?

Our Bistro is open Sunday mornings for a fun family brunch, or a serenely solitary one, if that's more your speed, and our Coffee Shop is open before or after Sunday or Wednesday services. We also have complimentary drip coffee in the hallway.

Marty Sloan

Lead Pastor

I'm passionate about communicating the word of God and helping people know Him and find their place in His mission of redemption, what we call Missio Dei, the belief that God's mission for the world can't be separated from the local church. My wife, Becky, and I joined the Calvary Church family in January of 2020, and together we're creating an earthly picture of heaven, inviting people into real community with God and each other.

I've been an ordained minister since 2000, serving in ministry for over 25 years and as lead pastor since 2009. Becky and I have been married since 1994 and have two sons, Chandler and Landon. Outside the church, you'll find me reading, weightlifting, traveling, hunting, or watching football.
